In the 14th century this castle was the home of Neveling von Hardenberg and his brother-in-law,
the invisible dwarf king Goldemar(aka. Volmar). Goldemar lived together with the rest of the family in the castle, but because
no-one has ever seen him or his horse, a kittchen boy got an idea to make his footprints visible. The kittchen boy tried to
mark the footprints of of Goldemar with ash and peas, but he got caught by Goldemar. The kittchen boy was torn to pieces,
got cooked and eaten by Goldemar. Afterwards, Goldemar left the castle forever, but not without putting a spell on the family:
All their richness shall be gone and they shall never be as happy as they were before, as long as not less than 3 generations
are alive at the same time. From this day, it happened never again, that son, father and grandfather were alive at the same time.
