The Desen Castle was built on the Desen Hill, it's known since 776.
As the ancient Saxons were still heathens, the Desen Hill, an extincted vulcano, was a sacred place, fallen warriors
were brought up there, that the Valkyries, which were called Desen or Dasen in this area, could pick
them up easier.
